Does Medicare Cover GLP-1 Medications?
Medicare GLP-1 coverage is not one simple yes-or-no question. It can depend on the medication, why it is prescribed, the Medicare coverage path, plan formulary rules, prior authorization, pharmacy network status, and current availability.
Some GLP-1 drugs may be covered under Medicare Part D when prescribed for a use that fits Part D coverage rules and the plan's requirements.
